As of September 10, 2016:
River Temperature: 60 degrees
CFS 546 and dropping (the flow, measured in cubic feet per second)
This is a normal flow for this time of year, but it is getting into the low water end of summer period. It is still good for tubing, kayaking, and paddle boarding on the Wenatchee River but the Icicle River is too shallow and slow.
We have two launch points: one for a 4 mile trip and one for a 2 mile trip. The launch point varies based on river flow and time of day. When the river is faster, we can do the 4 mile trip. When the river is slower, we do the 2 mile trip. When it is in between, earlier in the day we can do the 4 mile trip, later in the day we do the 2 mile trip.
This 4 mile float is closed for the season, the water is too low.
Schedule as of September 10:
2 mile trip every 1/2 hour from 11am - 4pm, taking over 2 hours and getting longer every day. (We will be closing at 3pm on Sunday, September 11)
4 mile trip closed.
Last shuttle is at 4pm.
Suncrest Fire: There is no threat from the fire, it is contained.
